Purchase Terms and Conditions
Entire AgreementOther than as specifically provided in any separate formal purchase agreement between you and Doors4Home, LLC, these terms and conditions (this "Agreement") apply to all of your purchases from the website at www.doors4home.com (the "Site") and may NOT be altered, supplemented, or amended by you through the use of any other document(s). Any attempt to alter, supplement, or amend this document or to enter an order for product(s), which is subject to additional or altered terms and conditions, will be null and void, unless otherwise agreed to in a written agreement signed by both you and Doors4Home LLC.
AcceptanceBy purchasing products and/or services from the Site, you agree to be bound by and accept this Agreement. Orders are not binding upon Doors4Home, LLC until accepted by Doors4Home, LLC. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Doors4Home, LLC will indicate its acceptance of an order by acknowledging your order by reply email or by shipping the ordered items to you.
PaymentsInternet and phone orders may be paid for using the following methods: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, cashier's checks, and personal checks by mail. All non-credit-card orders are subject to a 10-business-day hold. We reserve the right to require cashier check, personal check or wire transfer for orders over $5,000.00.
Special OrdersALL SPECIAL ORDERS SUCH AS PRE-HUNG, PRE-FINISH AND CUSTOM SIZE DOORS ARE NON RETURNABLE AND NON REFUNDABLE.
ShippingDoors4Home, LLC processes and ships orders Monday through Friday. Clients will be given an estimated turnaround time for all pre-hung, pre-finished and custom orders. We don't ship to APO, FPO, PO Boxes or personal mailboxes. Please use a valid street address for delivery of your order.
All shipments are fully insured by the shipping carrier. Any change of delivery address must be received in writing and called in to our office within 6 hours of placing your order. All our doors are shipped safely in a secure crating system, specifically designed to protect your door, and to ensure that the door and all parts that ship with it arrive in perfect condition. Our excellent packaging and shipping experience reduces the chances of damage. However, in the event of damage please save all original packaging.
Your order will be shipped ground via a freight company (LTL). A freight company representative will contact you prior to shipment to schedule a convenient date for delivery. We will provide you with all necessary delivery information to prepare you for delivery, including: full carrier information, contact numbers and tracking numbers. It will be your responsibility to work with the delivery center servicing your area to schedule an appointment time on the expected date of delivery. If you miss your appointment a re-delivery fee may be assessed by the freight company. If you are unable to take delivery of your products within two days after the shipment arrives to the service center, the carrier may also assess monetary charges for storage fees, which you would be responsible for.
If the delivery address is inaccessible or invalid, customer agrees to pay the purchase order amount and the additional delivery charges. We strongly advise against picking-up the order from the freight company's terminal or any location other than the delivery address since doors4home, LLC will not be liable for any damages. Doors4home, LLC is not liable for damages other than those mentioned on the freight company's delivery receipt. Please ensure you inspect the content of your order before signing the delivery freight receipt. The trucker will not un-crate or open the package. The customer will have to open the boxes and inspect the contents.
Products will be delivered to the back of the truck or the tailgate. Lift gate service is optional (additional charges apply), please ask for details. Sometimes the truck driver will assist in removing the product from the truck, but they are not required to do so. We recommend at least 2-3 people to be present when the product is removed from the pallet since the doors are heavy! During unloading of the doors from the truck, Doors4Home, LLC assumes no responsibility or liability for damage to the product, personal injury to someone or any other issue that may arise due to moving the product from the curbside to the inside space.
Customer is responsible to inspect the freight for shortages or signs of damage upon receipt of goods while the driver is still there. If there is any freight damage the customer must refuse the freight and note it (type and location) on the freight company’s paperwork. If the customer finds any freight damage after the driver leaves it is the customer’s responsibility to file a freight claim with the freight company.
If small parts are missing, accept the delivery and notify us immediately, DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY. Pictures are required in the event of missing parts. We will send a replacement to correct the problem in a timely manner.
ACCEPTANCE OF SHIPMENT AND SIGNING THE DELIVERY RECEIPT BY YOU OR YOUR REPRESENTATIVES IS AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT:
- MERCHANDISE DELIVERED IN SATISFACTORY CONDITION IN CONFORMITY WITH YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
- RELEASES THE FREIGHT COMPANY AND DOORS4HOME, LLC FROM ALL DAMAGE CLAIMS.
All freight companies should allow a specific amount of time for you to inspect your shipment before the driver leaves. Freight carriers are not our employees and do not operate under our supervision. They are their own business, so if the driver refuses to wait for you to inspect the contents, be sure to completely look over the outside of the shipping boxes and wooden pallet. Note any damage to the packaging even if you do not feel it is something of importance no matter how minor it may appear.
Doors4Home, LLC is responsible for making payments to the shipping and delivery vendors directly. You, the customer, do NOT have to pay anything to the truckers at the time of delivery or at any other time. Any and all such payments, if made by the customer to the carrier company or its representatives, for any additional or existing services will be at your sole discretion and cost. You agree that Doors4Home, LLC will not refund such payments under any circumstances.
CancellationOrder cancellation applies to custom orders, pre-hung orders and / or prefinished orders only. Order cancellations are not allowed for these orders, unless the order is cancelled prior to commencement of production. A minimum 10% cancellation fee will be assessed regardless of the reason for cancellation. Additional cancellation fees may be assessed to cover any loss sustained by Doors4Home,LLC.
Refunds and ReturnsAll products sold by Doors4Home, LLC are guaranteed by the manufacturer and insured by the shipping company to arrive in perfect condition. However, purchased items may be returned within three (3) days of receiving shipment. A 25% restocking fee will apply to all doors/slab orders. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges. No refund will be made for purchases until the items have safely arrived to our manufacturer’s warehouse.
Custom orders such as pre-hung or orders with factory finish options are non-refundable and non-returnable.
Customers who wish to return non-damaged items must pay return shipping fees.
Authorization from Doors4Home is required prior to the return of any item. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within one day of delivery to arrange an exchange or refund. Please make sure to keep your receipt and return the product in its original packaging. Doors4Home, LLC will not assume the transportation charges for any products returned by any transportation agency or company for products purchased through Doors4Home.
Please note: installation, staining or any other modifications to the door or frame implies that the door was received in good condition as described and can’t be returned for credit.
- All pre-hung and pre-finish orders are final (non-refundable/non-changeable)
- All custom size orders are final. After full payment is received, you have 2 business days to cancel or to make a change. After that your order is "non-refundable/non-changeable."
- Cancellation of door(s) slab order(s) - are subject to 25% cancellation fee.
- Customer is responsible for all shipping charges in case of return.
Limited WarrantyProducts sold by doors4home come with a limited manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period and service varies by manufacturer and product. Please read the manufacturer's warranty thoroughly and follow all requirements and instructions. Failing to follow manufacturer's requirements and instructions will void your warranty. By purchasing from doors4home you acknowledge that you have read the manufacturer's warranty and Doors4home’s care guide.
NOTE: IT IS UP TO THE MANUFACTURER'S DISCRETION TO ACCEPT OR DENY ANY CLAIM
Doors must be installed by a licensed qualified professional door company to qualify for warranty. Installation without proper tools and knowledge can result in personal injury. Inspect all of the shipped parts and account for everything before commencing any work.
