Online Door Buying Guide

Ordering a new door is simple and can be done in few steps. If you are unfamiliar with doors terminology we suggest you visit our common industry terminology page first.

Choosing new doors for your home is an important and exciting decision. Since each door and opening may have different dimensions, we have structured our site to allow you maximum flexibility. All of our doors are sold a la carte. Be sure to add doors, sidelites, transoms and pre-hung options as needed for each entry that requires it.

Scroll through our site until you find the design you like. You may narrow your search by wood species, door size, collection, or door model. Click on the desired door to view prices, options and additional information. Prices shown are for "slab" doors (the door only without any pre-hanging, staining, hinges, etc.). Some doors are shown stained, but are sold unfinished or primed. Once you've chosen a door design add it to your shopping cart.

Door "Slab" Orders
Slab door is just a rectangular slab of wood. No frame, casing or hardware are included (unless otherwise noted) and the door is NOT prepped for hinges or a handle.If you are replacing an existing door consider door thickness in addition to width and height. Exterior doors are 1-3/4” thick and interior doors are 1-3/8” for 80” tall doors and 1-3/4” for 96” tall doors. After you add the desired doors to your shopping cart you may processed to checkout.

Pre-hung Orders
A pre-hung door is a door that is already hanging in its own frame. It's an all-in-one package that ensures the smoothest possible installation of your door. To order a pre-hung door select the desired pre-hung configuration, customize it and add it to your cart. Be sure to add doors and sidelites as needed. The customized pre-hung price doesn’t include the door(s) or sidelite(s).

Important information to know prior to adding a pre-hung option:
1. Door swing –Determine the hand and swing of the door.
2. Rough opening - An unfinished wall opening where a door will be installed.
3. Jamb Width - The width of the door jamb not including the thickness of any trim, casings or brick mouldings. Most jambs will have a width of 4-9/16", 5-1/4” or 6-9/16" depending on whether your home is framed with 2x4's or 2x6's.

Once you've customized your pre-hung option and added it to the cart along with the necessary doors and sidelites, follow the onscreen checkout instructions.

Shipping
We take great care in packaging our doors securely on a pallet and delivering them to you undamaged, safely, and in a timely fashion. We ship to all of the 48 Continental United States and Canada. We don't ship to APO, FPO, PO Boxes or personal mailboxes. Please use a valid street address for delivery of your order. All shipments are fully insured by the shipping carrier. Your order will be shipped ground via freight carrier. We will provide you with all necessary delivery information to prepare you for delivery, including: full carrier information, contact numbers, tracking numbers and turnaround times. Dealing with a freight carrier is different than using UPS or FedEx. Our doors are heavy and weight around 60 pounds+ crate. You will need at least 2-3 people to unload. Do not expect a truck driver to help you unload. You can ask a truck driver for assistance if you offer them a tip.

Shipping Damage: We will replace any damaged doors in prompt fashion. Very rarely are there any issues unless an item is damaged in transit. Please contact us immediately if you see any damage. We do ask that you inspect shipments thoroughly upon arrival and prior to signing the receipt. Damaged shipments should be refused or received with notation of apparent damage.

Payment Methods
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express), Paypal, Google checkout, personal and cashier checks. We don’t accept money order or cash payment.
Note: Credit card orders will not be billed until we ship your order. Only authorization on the order amount will be obtained from your bank prior to processing your order.
