Can you install my door?

Unfortunately we do not offer installation services. We recommend using websites such as Yelp or Angie's list to find a reputable installer in your area.

What should I look for to determine if my door needs to be replaced?

Common things such as cracks, peeling, rotting around the door frame, draft coming in and trouble opening or closing the door are all signs that you may need to replace the door or frame.

What Kind of Door is right for my home?

That can be dependent on several factors. Home design, size of the opening and exposure to direct sun light are all factors when selecting a new door. For example if your home calls for a more authentic look you may choose a wood door, bear in mind wood doors require more periodic maintenance then other types. Fiberglass door can mimic the appearance of wood, while cutting down on the maintenance cost. Consider our buyers guide for more in depth information on choosing the right door for your home.

It's as simple as it sounds the door slab is exactly that just the door itself it is shipped without a frame and with no handle prepping. Prehung doors are shipped with the door jamb framework, hinges and trim and come ready to be installed. Prehung doors are recommended especially in situations where there is not existing door frame, the frame is damaged in some way or it is newly constructed home.

What is the difference between True Divided Light (TDL) and Simulated Divided light (SDL) Doors?

TDL’s (True Divided Light) or SDL’s (Simulated Divided Light) as they are referred to in industry terms refer to the construction method used for doors with the look of multiple panes of glass separated by bars. In SDL construction a single pane of glass has a mullion attached to achieve the look of divided glass panes. Whereas TDL doors actually have individual panes of glass.
