Jamb - Please select a wood species that matches your door selection. Exterior doors are hung on rabbetted jambs kerfed (slotted) for weather-stripping.

Door Height - Select a height that matches your door selection.
Jamb Width - The width of the door jamb, either 4-9/16", 5-1/4" or 6-5/8", depends on whether your entry is framed with 2x4's or 2x6's. To measure jamb width, open the door and measure the jamb. Do not include any of the trim work or casing.
Sill (Threshold) - We offer two type of sills for inswing doors:
1. Adjustable Aluminum sill in Brass, Bronze or Zinc
2. Solid Oak sill (not adjustable)
For an out-swing door we offer an adjustable Aluminum sill in Brass, Bronze or Zinc.
We can provide a low-profile (ADA-compliant) sill, please call for pricing.

Door Shoe (Sweep) - Designed to fit on the base of the door to seal the gap between the bottom of the door and the sill (threshold) to block air and moisture.

Weatherstrip - High quality pressed in Q-lon weatherstripping. Seal drafts from around the top and sides of the door. Made of polyethylene-clad urethane foam.

Hinges - 4"x4" full mortise, 1/4" radius round corners, commercial grade ball-bearing hinges in Brass, Bronze or Zinc.

Pre-Drill For Handle - We will pre-drill the door for a handle with 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset.
Bore diameter: 2-1/8"
The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the bore hole.
Pre-Drill For Deadbolt - We will drill a bore 5-1/2" inches above the door handle.

By adding the pre-hung option to your door selection, you will receive a full unit with the doors prepped, hinged and assembled to your specifications. This complete package ensures smooth, easy installation with a precise fit. Please add one door and two sidelites to your cart along with this option if you wish to order a pre-hung door with two sidelites. Price below doesn’t include door and sidelites.

Pre-hung assembly includes:
  • Your choice of solid wood kerfed rabbeted jambs in 4-9/16", 5-1/4" or 6-5/8" (call us for custom sizes)
  • Adjustable anodized Aluminum sill (threshold) in Zinc, Bronze, Brass or solid Oak
  • Q-lon weather stripping in white or Bronze
  • Door shoe in Brass, Bronze or Zinc
  • 4"x4" commercial grade ball-bearing hinges in Zinc, Brass or Bronze (3 hinges for 80" door, 4 hinges for 84" and 96" door)
  • 5/8"x2-1/2" interior colonial casing
  • 1-1/4"x2-1/4" exterior brick mould
  • Pre-drilled cylinder bore in 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset with 2-1/8" face bore for a handleset
  • Pre-drilled cylinder bore for a deadbolt
  • Sidelites are stationary, for operable sidelites please call us for pricing

To calculate rough opening add 4” to the total width of the door plus two sidelites and 2” to the height of the door.

To prevent damage during transit pre-hung units will be delivered knocked down (disassembled). Some assembly required.

Orders with pre-hung options are normally shipped within 3-4 weeks.
